What do you like to play/do in Vegas?

Really wish they hadn't replaced coins in the slot machines with paper receipts.

I've only ever seen that at reservation casinos, all the places on the Strip (as of a couple years ago) are still coin-only.

We've played almost all the major casinos recently and they're all receipt payout now, on the Strip at least.

I also like to play "WAR". Not too lucky tho. One guy made like $1000 in less than a min. Don't know how he did after we left for dinner...

Anyone else been on the nickel slots at 6am after being up all night and loosing most of your money? I have plenty of times and even though it felt pretty rough at the time looking back it was pretty darn fun, and that's how long it's been since I've been to a casino that I would miss a time like that.

The area where the low-value slots are is a constant din of wins and payouts, if they were dollar machines you'd swear hundreds of dollars were pouring out of them. Even if you do well you're only getting enough to pay for a Frappucino, but I see the appeal..

Sorry I said "and" loosing but meant AFTER you've lost all your money, playing roulette all night or quarter/dollar slots. It's like you don't want to go back to your room and/or you just want to win something even though you have been at it so long your in that zombie mode.

I've never started a night on a nickel machine that would just be pointless but I've ended up there a couple times after the sun comes up. Ya know again with my wife but I remember one time she was with me one of those mornings and hit a little jackpot on the nickel machine, I don't remember what she won but I think it was around $500.

Yeah, you get a jack-pot and the machines still make the same noise as if a ton of coins are hitting the bottom. But it's not remotely the same.

That's what happened to me. I won about $50 on the penny slot and it make the coin noise; but it gives me a paper receipt.
