OK - I'm calling it as we haven't met up for a long time, and we really should.
I would like to do The Welsh Aqueduct camping trip in Late June or early July, and I think we would need a couple of nights to make it worthwhile. So a long weekend would be best - i.e. Friday and Saturday night at least.
The best campsite would be the Tower Farm Campsite in Llangollen. £6 per person per night regardless of how many tents. Heated shower block, right by the canal (Llangollen branch - a few miles from the Aqueduct).
There's other accommodation in Llangollen - hotels etc if needed.
The travel thing could be a bit of a pain - but we could get two insured drivers for each car and share chauffeuring duties? Or the train stations are near as well.
And the Aqueduct and canal walk here: http://www.pontcysyllte-aqueduct.co.uk/en-gb/top-ideas/pontcysyllte-aqueduct/
I know I tried and failed to get this going last year, but I will probably go myself and would welcome any of my Flashaholic friends along for a weekend of torches and sleeping under canvas (well - rip-stop nylon anyway).
Any takers?
