Multiple stations with $2.79 in Tampa tonight. Considering oil's dropping even more and some of the analysts are saying there's going to be a surplus of oil in 2027, this is only the beginning of the drop.

A couple weeks ago, at a Wawa station I saw reg/89 at $3.19/gal.

And just the other day, that same station had jumped $0.50 to $3.60/gal.

IOW ... in the immortal words of Eugene Morris Jerome: "The second time, it was swing swing swing."

Odd day for prices today. At 5am I saw $3.35. When I drove past the station again at 9am it was $3.45. At 6pm, I paid $3.35 before discounts, $3.20 after.

I saw $3.29 Thursday for 87 octane. I find the Gas Buddy app to be useful for checking prices too.

Saw $3.20/gal for 89/reg today (at Wawa).

And drove by a Costco station that's a couple pennies away from $3/gal.

Nice change. I expect in a couple of weeks we'll have prices dropping a bit, as the supply begins to hit the "streets".

(Hopefully Iran will keep it zipped and won't threaten shipping traffic. Time will tell.)
