    I have dealt with hkequipment on eBay on several occasions and so have several other candlepowerforum users. He is a dealer in China and is legit with great prices.

    Real world use of long-throwing lights

    i think far throwing lights give confidence to the user. When i am on a backpacking trip sleeping in the night and hear a noise that wakes me up... im going to want a light that throws a long distance just so i know im covering as much ground as i can which gives me confidence whether i see...

    dang man that sucks... you should look at armytek lights, fantastic build quality. If you are looking for an XML light the Viking would be my recommendation. Its a single 18650 light and puts out around 1000 lumens i believe.

    AA / 18650 thrower?

    The armytek predator sounds like what you are looking for. Its a single 18650 sized light with an XP-G2 emitter with a smooth reflector. I can attest to the throw of this flashlight.

    What is a good standby lite for my truck?

    Its 860 lumens... im not up on my halogen brightness but i would think that is plenty for a spare light to keep in the truck. I like the charging of the light because i can just use the usb on my radio headunit to keep it filled up

    the nitecore p25 charges off micro-usb. I have this light and i think i might start keeping it in my truck for that reason. Plus its pretty darn bight

    i would go for the eagletac D25C clicky. I'm pretty sure its the brightest single 123 cell light out there. and it strobes! :thumbsup:

    you should check out the Armytek Predator. 670 lumen XP-G2 with over a 400 meter throw from a single 18650. I love this light and its build quality.
