    The Lounge 2017

BLF is a modders and group buy forum. It is both more friendly because it's smaller, and less friendly to, for example, this forum and to high end modders like Saab and Vinh. V54_Fan I'm sure that you have witnessed that and it's not very friendly at times! [emoji6] The designs from scratch are...

Congratulations on your retirement Mike, enjoy your last day of work. I hope that they give you a fitting send off! You could buy yourself a celebration flashlight to mix it up a bit? [emoji38]

Yes, you're right NL. The "seen by" stats are fine, just not a lot to say at the moment. CPF is the place where each light has a thread, so most of the action should be here. [emoji4]

    Acebeam X45vn - ARK (25K Lumen)

Have you thought of getting .2 LEDs swapped in instead? 21000 lumens from this light is well and truly on par with the X45vn because of the size difference. More flood, but at that output they both bulldoze their way to a bit of throw. [emoji4] I may have considered a mod if not for the freight...

    Acebeam X45vn - ARK (25K Lumen)

The X45vn arrived today. This thing is insane! A clear jump up from the X7vn ( also a very impressive light) running on the first XHP70 version, although it's a bit bigger and more throwy. I threw some VTC6s in it for a sneaky look while I wait for VTC5As to arrive. When compared to a Niwalker...

    Acebeam X45vn - ARK (25K Lumen)

Thanks eek and Mad and NL. I'll get some VTC5A flat tops and see how they go. [emoji4]

    Acebeam X45vn - ARK (25K Lumen)

Could an owner or two of this light please let me know what batteries you are using? Specifically, as VTC5A seems to be the consensus, do you need to have a solder blob? Thanks in advance. [emoji4]

    Acebeam X45vn - ARK (25K Lumen)

Well I'm happy to say that I have an X45vn on the way and I'm happy to live with a few beam imperfections in a 25000 lumen light for about $350. That value for money kills anything that has come before it from Vinh or anyone else. I am aware of the tint limitations of pushing the new 70.2 LEDs...

I can't answer that either, but I have both in XPL. The U21vn basically does the same as the SR with that LED, but is more compact. My son now has my SR. [emoji4] As for FB, I understand those who have concerns about privacy. In a closed group like Sky Lumen Lounge there's not too much to worry...

Yes, join the FB group. It's a great addition to what happens here on CPF. [emoji106] I frequent both. [emoji4]

    Thrunite TN42

Good question! I can only help with the TN32UTvn with XPL PDT, which is 400k Lux, and there is a noticeable benefit with the 42vn. The XPG2 is a pencil beam, and a nice one too ( I had that one and swapped it for the XPL to make it more usable in my situation). The glare factor is inevitable...

    Acebeam X45 Flashlight Review (4x XHP70, 4x 18650, 16,500 lumens)

Yes very good beamshots, thanks for posting them. It looks brighter than the X7 on the photos. The extra throw probably helps a bit too. It is hard to exactly guess the lumens by sight as our eyes are really unreliable where gradual dimming is involved, but run time graphs from maukka put it...

    Acebeam X45 Flashlight Review (4x XHP70, 4x 18650, 16,500 lumens)

15000 lumens of flat regulation down to 3.7V? That information is not accurate. If it were, there might be some truth to that.

    TN42vn - Reflector Throw King

You're right MAD777. The T21vn at 900 lumens and less spill competes ( in the real world) with the XHP35-HI throwers that I have used for exactly this reason. More light on the target, less coming back at your face. [emoji4]

Yes, you beat me to it EDness. I originally thought that this might be the rebadged Astrolux S42 until I remembered that Manker don't make it like they did with the S41/E14. Let's see what Vinh can do with this one, but the Astrolux looks like killer value for the money. [emoji4]
