    V54 Monthly Giveaway

    # 3025 It's not the flashiest nor the brightest, but my favorite V54 light is the G25C2vn. It is my 'grab light' around home because it does so many different tasks so well. Between the handy flip-up diffuser (I wish this was a more common feature in all lights) and the great tint of the...

    Freebies Giveaway

Light #3, Number: 5711 TK75vnKTFL. My first custom light since my Lionheart over 9 years ago (in which I swapped the original Luxeon III TWOJ several years ago with a SSC P4). It was replaced by a Zebralight SC600wII in my jacket, but thanks to Vinh, my desire for something more custom...

    New Multimeter Fundraiser Sale

How much current are you planning on needing to measure, Vinh? Based on your recent mule pulling 16A, are you looking to max out at 20 or 30A? As someone who has needed to measure and log 10~60A DC, it is a pain. General purpose DMMs seem to start skewing current readings much over 5A with...

    **NEW** Nitecore TM26

Per this thread the Fasttech protected Panasonic 3400mAh cells (specified by Fasttech to be 69.4mm long) don't fit the TM15 (easily). Has anyone tried them in the TM26 and do they fit?

What is the REBEL I've been reading about on here?

Why can a Rebel "never be more efficient than a Cree"? There is also this star: http://www.led-tech.de/en/Luxeon-High-Power-LEDs/Luxeon-REBEL/20mm-Star-PCB-for-Luxeon-Rebel-LT-1103_49_85.html It is considerably thinner than the old standard Luxeon star, though. So that combined with slightly...

LiteFlux LF2 questions, feedback & suggestions

Re: 10440s I'm using AW's 320mAh 10440 cells: http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=166496 "An hour" is likely an over estimation on my part; I didn't time it. It was probably closer to 45 minutes, similar to NetKidz runtime test. Yeah, I'm not much of a light meter cowboy (I...

What is the REBEL I've been reading about on here?

Philips/Lumileds quotes 350mA to 1000mA drive current. So with a ~3V forward voltage, 1-3W rating. Usually they quote the 1W/350mA lumen output. The Rebel 0100 puts out 100 lumens at 350mA and 180 lumens at 700mA, per the data sheet. I don't know the answers to the rest of your questions...

    Sold/Expired Diffuser-Keyring-Cap-Liteflux LF2-Accepting Orders

Re: Feeler: Diffuser-Keyring-Cap for Liteflux LF2 New idea inspired by this thread: design a groove in the key ring cap to accept one of the spare rubber o-rings provided by LiteFlux to add some water resistance to the diffuser spy capsule.

LiteFlux LF2 questions, feedback & suggestions

Re: 10440s I've been feeding my SSC LF2 AW's 10440s exclusively in the week I have had the light. I have the LF2 programmed to: P1 = 0.2% (lowest low) P2 = ~15% (the original P1) Then use user mode for 50%. Looking at NetKidz mini-review and runtime tests here, 50% with the 10440 is as...

    Sold/Expired Diffuser-Keyring-Cap-Liteflux LF2-Accepting Orders

Re: Feeler: Diffuser-Keyring-Cap for Liteflux LF2 Any status update on this? I threw the basic design into the CAD software from www.emachineshop.com. 25 no-frills (still rounded the corners, but no finishing and may be done on a hand lathe/mill instead of CNC) 6061 T-6 aluminum pieces are...

An "open source hardware" smart charger?

On second look, a PIC 18F4553/4558 may be a better choice. It seems to have a much larger knowledge base for bootloader support, on-board USB for simplicity's sake, a bump from 10-bit to 12-bit A/Ds (still not enough for voltage, current, and temperature per cell given 8, but a mux would...

An "open source hardware" smart charger?

In my opinion, a PC power supply is a REALLY unsafe choice. Computer power supply manufacturers grossly overstate their power output in a climate of more-or-less no industry regulation. Many are rated for peak output at 25 degrees C (not a realistic operating temperature). Any non-computer...

An "open source hardware" smart charger?

I think this is a great idea. I am an electrical engineering student and, while by no means a design expert, I think this project is very possible, given enough dedicated individuals, time, and money. Right off the bat, there is definitely some "subtleties" to end-of-charge detection that...
