    Real Spear vs. clone

Re: Real SPEAR VS kaidomain's SPEAR clone Well I'm glad I got the original at the discounted price! ;) It's still one of my favourite lights and I love the forward clicky and power. Now how to convert it to 3xAA? Hmmm (LOL)

    Canon 450D

You guys all into Canon DSLR's? What about Nikon, Pentax, etc? May be much better value for money if you don't want to take loads of pictures. Although I've heard the Canon 18-55 IS kit lens that comes with the 450D is much better than the one that came with the 400D. Got a Nikon myself and...

Best Shock Proof LED Flash Light?

Came across this link on youtube. Although in the comments somebody had a problem with "shock damage" to the driver. Maybe a direct drive light would be better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WvhJWE3_Oc

    Electrically conductive/conducting Epoxy

That sounds pretty low. OK I'll use additional epoxy on the joints thanks for the advise.

    Electrically conductive/conducting Epoxy

Thanks guys, a few options there. :twothumbs The welding option sounds like the best one but I'm unsure if I'll be able to do that at home on the lounge table :naughty: and then keep all the stuff safe afterwards when packed away, I expect so but I might go with the epoxy option for now and see...

    Electrically conductive/conducting Epoxy

It's for the electrical connections between the batteries to avoid having to solder them. You see I've been trying to solder the terminals directly but haven't been doing it properly because I don't want to heat the battery up too much in case I damage them! :sweat:And I think that's why...

    Electrically conductive/conducting Epoxy

Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good electrically-conductive epoxy which you use to cold-weld and the like? Is JB Weld electrically conductive? I am trying to create a battery pack using li-ions and soldering isn't working. Thanks.

UK man jailed for lasing police helicopter

I still think a community order would be more appropriate than jail (depending on "previous","good character",the facts of the case which haven't come to light in this news story, etc). I knew someone who had a community order and they did charity work for 2 years + (and carried on after the...

NiteCore D10 & EX10 Reviews: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, COMPARISONS & more!

I really like how the D10 has a really nice low (1/3 that of the Nitecore DI woohoo!) on normal batteries OR 14500's! That is pretty amazing really! Nice and bright too.

UK man jailed for lasing police helicopter

Shinning a laser at any aircraft, let alone a hovering police helicopter :ohgeez:is pretty dumb but 4 months seems a bit harsh for what was probably a prank. Would a trained pilot be bothered by a flash of light I wonder? 20 years, well that just :poof:, beat them till they bleed mentality. A...

    Help Choosing a SAK

I'd recomend the Explorer - it's got a handy magnifier and a good Phillips screw driver along with the usual accessories and is 4 layers thick.

Should I buy a Nitecore Extreme or a JetBeam II Pro?

I have both and while the Jetbeam is more useful over all because of the programmable levels, the extreme is more efficient and lasts longer while being simple to use with a forward clicky. So I use the Jetbeam when I might need a bright/multi-purpose light but not one I'd be using that much...
