They only sent me 2 W2 so I dont have much to test with. But based on initial impression its kind of like a XPL Dedome in terms of output but more throw and cool tint. I love it! Black, W1 and W2 will not step toes.

We are trying them in an Okluma DC1 copper engine with H17F driver - triple LED with Carclo narrow optic.... We'll see how it works out.... I am hoping for a thrower with a huge hot spot and no corona...

I am doing to many testings at once on top of holidays orders...So busy I barely have time to post here!
But yes TN40S W1/W2 is on my list

Read Vinhs W1 specs (D4Svn) upgrade is very impressive indeed, and powered with 15a cells!
** Is the secondary color in Vinhs stock photos green? They have a green hue similar to trit vials

It's like a Convoy L6vn in the palm of your hand. How's the heat compared to White1, or the stock XPL HI emitters?
The hotspot looks like it's broad and filled with minimal corona, just how I like it.
You need to build a GT host that has a head filled with these same larger optics that the D4S has, then put a bunch of W2s in there Vinh! If all LEDs were driven to the same levels as that D4S, you'd have a theoretical 43,000 lumens and probably well over 500kcd.

I can't think of anything with combined lumens & lux in this size of light!
Are we still limited to 15 amp cells for W2, since it runs at 8.5 amps vs the W1 at 5 amps?

Wow!! Glad I didn't send the paypal yet!! Now it'll take me a few more days to decide... Fortunately Vinh doesn't seem to be short on orders so this delay is hurting only me :-(
About the max current, as MAD777 says, the 4 W2 LEDs will take 32A so even the highest current cells should be good. For the W1 it should be 4*5.5=22A. The Shockli 5500 black seems ideal for it.
