When I ordered the 3P body from Fivemega's nitemods site, he had 5 in stock. I just looked today and he's got one left. I wonder if this thread started a mini buying spree? :grin2:
I want one but they charge $11 for shipping and NY tax. I got it in the cart decided that it's not worth it for that price.

I agree that the shipping is too high but I decided what I thought was fair shipping ($6 or so) was only 5 bucks different. I didn't want to lose the deal over $5 so I bit the bullet. Buy once, cry once.

It would be nice if he had a "first class mail" option as it would be considerably cheaper and just as fast as Priority Mail.

Good score 101. Clicky was a wise pick for everyday use.

I went with a twisty for mine as a nostalgia thing. Got an M31W for the same reason. It's like having a 1997 incan tactical light with 2014 brightness.

Fun little flashlight. Enjoy.

I got a Five Mega 3P body a couple years ago. I put an Oveready Zero Rez Shorty and use an 18500 battery. Currently running a Malkoff M61LL 219b. Lovely little tank of a light.

I did that with my MD1, but Twisty Head and Twisty Tail on such a short light light didn't mix well. Those ZR Shorties are really underrated.

Agreed, they are underrated. They are perfect for single output lights, but also so great for making the light shorter and lighter.

Gotta love a good shorty. My VME/single cell body combined with an early M31W (neutral tint) is just a fantastic combo.

Anyone try a fivemega 3p, z41 tailcap with a zerorez shorty to accommodate a AA cell? Thought it would be a cool setup to run an m31 as a twisty.

brass insert that screws into a z41 tailcap, replaces the clicky guts and gives more room to run different batteries. Also turns the light into a twisty and allows tail standing.
Whatz a zerorez shorty?

I have a "bumblee" FM 3P host with Z44-YL, black body, and Z74 yellow nitrolon tailcap, with early model Z26 lanyard ring, (2 attachment points). I don't have a light engine yet, but was thinking of a Pflexpro 2.9-4.5v Nichia drop-in. Lots of programmable modes available, which is a departure from the rock-solid simplicity of a Malkoff, but it would be nice to be able to run it at low levels if using a single 18350.

Fivemega 3P body is designed for single 34mm long cell and diameter of 18.80mm
Are you trying to use 50mm long AA cell with diameter of 14.5mm in this body?

Yessir that's what I'd like to use but of course would need a sleeve to kill the battery rattle and use the zerorez shorty from oveready.

You can also use SS 1x18500 body (with E to C adaptor) which is same length of AA cell.
Since McClicky is built in installed, you won't even need tail cap.
If using Z41 type of tail cap is necessary,

ZRS can also be used to install an 18350 into an 18200 body:
