I have Prometheus Surefire Titanium Clip,it fit absolutely great without any o-rings.

Feeling left out, so here's another photo for this thread... MD2 with M61NLL dropin.

I never use protected cells in my Hound Dog 18650. Unprotected cells fit perfectly well, although they are not quite as snug as a protected cell when the tail cap is tightened down. There is a slight rattle, owing to the difference in length, but only if the light is intentionally shaken. It is not noticeable during normal use and does not affect the function of the light.

The theory goes, a single un-proteced cell is ok but 2 or 3 and you won't know when you are self-discharged to near zero. I have never run a prot. cell in a single cell configuration.

HD 18650 is a neat device. Would love to own one of these.

How about some news guys? Anything new coming up? Any MDC variants coming? New Hound Dog 18650?

Wish List:

1) MDC line with NO PWM
2) Bring back color options for the MDC
3) Deluxe Options for MDC with stainless steel bezel already installed
4) HO single CR123a model with something like:

300 lumen/75 Lumen/25 Lumen

5) Hound Dog 18650 Multi-mode (No PWM!). Something like:

800/250/25

Lastly I hate to be morbid here but I really worry about what would happen if/when we lose Gene from this mortal plane? Does he have any contingency in place for the company to continue without him?

+1 on the high/low ring... It's intuitive and simple.
