Tool AAA on 4.2V?

Trying to get input on the Tool AAA driver, Lumitop website says 0.9v-1.5v (10440 Not Supported).

Has anyone ran a 10440 with success?

if you dont want to gamble...

as an alternative, I suggest the reylight mini pineapple, it runs 10440 fine.. and they are on 2 for 1 sale, with 519a LEDs..

That's all I've ever used (10440) for several years w/o any issues in my Tool AAA.

does your light still work w AAA also?

is your light newer than 2015, or does it have the older driver that uses PWM?

(with the introduction of the 2016 Reylight Copper Tool, Lumintop changed to a driver w No PWM. Some believe the old PWM driver was more 10440 friendly...).

Lumintop also released Titanium AAA Tools with flat eSwitches (later sold through massdrop in brass and copper also).
Tools w eSwitches become single high mode on a fully charged 10440. Below 3.8V the 2 lower modes become available again.

Still works with AAA, bought on Amazon in 6/2016.
