Will This Tailcap accept Overready / Other Tailcap Switches?

Cap is designed to fit into Maglite C tube Tailcap opening. Is bored to accept a 5/8-24 accessory. Is anyone familiar with this?

I am pretty sure that is is for a " maglite solvent trap" adaptor. Google images. Meaning it isn't designed for a switch. However you may be able to make it work.

it says 5/8" - 24.
.625" sounds really small for a C-cell mag light. Shouldn't it be over an inch in diameter?

.625" is the ID of the threaded hole in the center of the cap. I'm wondering if the Overready Z41 replacement brass item that holds a McClickie or another replacement switch has threads that will fit this tailcap which, as Str8stroke observes, is designed for another application that takes advantage of the Mag body.

The brass (or copper in the case of Lumens Factory) McClicky adapter for Surefire and similar C sized body threads is 7/8-20 and the threads on a McClicky itself is 11/16-20.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad I didn't order both and then find out the parts didn't match.

Would have been too easy if the different applications were interchangeable. The world doesn't seem to work that way.
