How's The Weather There ?

Lemon Grove can get a bit toasty during the summer. Oh yes -traffic is stupid. Better than L.A.

I dated a gal that was living in Laguna Beach (just a bit north of LN). She had a show on a cable network. An interior design thingy for high-end properties. Gorgeous gal. A lot of fun ;^)
But having to drive from SD to LB was a bit of a pain, even tho' I was highly erm, motivated. LOL

Often listen to NOAA on my 2-way radio after getting in bed.
I stopped listening to it ages ago, back when they replaced the humans with text-to-speech, and a poor one at that. Additionally, the computer doesn't know what information is important and isn't. The Coastal Waters Forecast is a disaster over the radio and takes at least 5-8 minutes for it to read all of it. Even if you are a boater, the information is useless with they way it's presented.

High 80s and humid. And not a lick o' wind. Overnight, rain came into the area. And brought with it lots of humidity. Ugh.

Airport says it got up to 96F here today, but that's on the water. It was a dry heat with a breeze, but still a bit warm.

May God bless Mr. Willis Carrier. If there's a bar in heaven, I'm buying you a pint good sir!

The rains have finally arrived. 2.5" at my office today. Only .75" were I was in Tampa today. More rain expected over the next few days.

Well, I had to pull out the thick winter duvet again. It was only +3°C last night. That's only 37.4 °F to the pondhoppers. Using only a pair of thin summer duvets and satin covers, I suddenly woke up freezing in the middle of the night.

As for the actual weather, it's only raining and, if not, cloudy every day. With this now being in the middle of June, I am beginning to worry about all the outdoor painting I am supposed to get done this summer...

But on the upside, I did get a serious test of the new gutters. Zero leaks (as it damn well should be). And the system of transporting (insert Jason Statham) all of the rainwater from both sides of the house to a single location downrange of the house works beyond all expecations. Even when the area was completely flooded, it was all gone in a couple hours.

Mid-west of eastern Norway.

Highs in the 90s, lows around 80F, dewpoints in the 70s. It's summer. No substantial rain until maybe the weekend, maybe longer. We need the rain. The ponds and lakes are very low.

That said, I know it'll correct itself given 2-3 months from now. Perhaps we can get a nice tropical depression/tropical storm to dump 12" of rain or so over a few days to make up for the drought.
