What is wrong with that ???
I think you need to realize that there is no need for a U shaped, screw on, bezel down clip, for a Clicky.
The Clicky already has a bezel down option, from the existing clip options, that fit under the tailcap, with no need for more screw holes, nor custom bezel.
for a Rotary
The U bend makes the clip taller, off the body, than a single layer clip
and
to provide bezel down carry, the U bend will need a gap not to touch the rotary dial.
Then the free floating bottom layer of the clip, will allow the U to flex, move, and press on the rotary dial, while carrying bezel down.
Its the Rotary that does not have a bezel down option, unless you like the Universal Clip.
One of the reasons I purchased the Executive model was to add a clip easily. ... Decided that they took away from the form and function of the HDS light and removed all of them. Went with a one strand lanyard to keep the lights from rolling on my nightstand...
I also prefer the ergonomics with no clip (and no lanyard)
the only reason I use a clip, is to stop the light from rolling off the nighstand.
I wanted a raised stop screw, using the existing hole, because then I would not need to use a clip or lanyard, as anti roll devices, and I would not need to drill into the head nor bezel to add holes for anti roll screws.
