A red version, a blue version, and a silver version of aluminum. If that is not too difficult to pull off and Henry thinks it will work out okay.

(Edit add: I seem to remember that this idea was proposed years ago and Henry vetoed it. He probably had a very good reason).

If I remember correctly Hogo had the last red one in his web store for the longest time, not sure about the how the blue would sell.
Seems sticking to just black and maybe mismatched natural HA would make the best sense business-wise. Plain aluminum marrs/corrodes too easily.
-And of course the occasional boutique metals are always cool...

I believe that is the gap-filling o-ring if you don't use a clip on your clicky.

Yes, that one.

It fills the pocket clip groove. I believe they are the same size as the lens o rings. I once asked Henry for an external o ring and two lens o-rings when I purchased a reflector and I received 3 o-rings that looked the same.

Interesting. I still have not separated a lens/reflector assembly.

Still, the HDS executive R9080 4500K with the white disc under the flush button and the accidental black bezel is the closest thing to perfection that can reasonably be expected.

Have to agree. Really, really pleased with mine.

The emitter in my F89HG is mounted to a white board. In my High Noon, it's mounted to a green board. Any functional difference between the two?

I also noticed a slight difference in weight between my older 2.15 exec clicky (3.76 oz) vs the new 2.18 models (3.5 oz). Anyone else noticing the weight savings?

Mine is finally back from Hawaii! I suspect I'll get it tomorrow, although Usps hasn't said so yet. Ohhh how I hate the Usps this week.

My first HDS light arrived last night on schedule. Rotary with the 219C 3 o'clock high.

My cats are probably a bit confused why I spent so much time walking around the house with the lights off..

To say I'm happy with it doesn't even start to cover it, now I get it :).

Had a chance to check out my new rotary NB45 HiCRI 219b 4500K R9080 last night. Pleasant neutral color with just the very slightest hint of rose. The true color rendition (CRI) is fantastic. Nice compromise between the warmer 3k-4k indoor tan-brown tint "fireplace" emitters and the cooler 5k-6k "daylight". I've done a lot of experimenting over the years and this is overall the best general purpose light I've found to date. Kudos to HDS and everyone involved for making this light available.

Well said, indigon. It's such a pleasing emitter that I'm perplexed as to why Nichia has discontinued them.

It's because they have been working on the Optisolis. Currently, they are not bright enough, but Nichia is working on the possible release of a high powered one hopefully sometime next year. They are estimating 99-100 CRI. I read a paper on them in Japanese (Hogo has bizarre skills). Will it become a reality? I don't know. Obviously Nichia thinks it will.

Welcome to the tribe. Be careful as they are like potato chips and it's almost impossible to have just one.

Well, sir, I fully expect to have one mounted in an HDS Executive when they are finally released.

In the last couple pages there were some charts with the output levels for 200, 250 and 325 lumens models but on the HDS website there is an option for a 300 lumens model: will there be more 300 lumens models or will new flashlights be 200/250/325?

My nb45 finally got delivered. Came in a nice tube , with a charged 18650.

Looks pink on the whitewall, proof will be in the pudding come nightfall.

Really liking the feel of the larger light.

Not sure if it's too much for edc. Fits good in the back pocket riding next to my wallet.

It's had rest and relaxation in Hawaii. Now it's time to put it to work! I may have missed it elsewhere, but is yours a rotary or a clicky?

Yes, the factory settings are 8, 16, 20, 24. ...

In my 4000K, I run levels 6, 14, 20, 24.

Not sure if this will be permanent, but in the 4500K, I've chosen 8, 16, 21, and 24.

thanks for confirming the factory presets programming levels on your two HDS High CRI 200
and thanks for sharing your personal presets

here are their lumen values (rounded except for moon), if anyone is interested
factory 200
0.33
8
40
200

your 4000k 219b
0.15
4
40
200

your 4500k 219b
0.33
8
60
200

Do you ever change levels by entering programming menu and ramping on the fly?

Wouldnt a rotary be easier?:)
you can program 3 of the presets the same as your clickies, and still keep the rotary on the fourth setting.
